Why Early Access?

“World of Diving is first launched on Steam as an Early Access game, and we're sometimes asked for our reasons. It's simple: We are not making this game for just us (although it sometimes feels that way!) but for you, our community. By involving you in the development process from early on, we hope to bring you the game that you won't be able to put down. Also: bugs. ;)”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At the moment, we're not quite sure as to how long we will keep World of Diving in Early Access. A lot depends on your feedback and the wishes of the community. There is no official release date yet.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Upon launch, the full game will have more features, more content, hopefully a boasting community full of happy players to meet in-game, and lots and lots of awesome user-generated content... and - bare with us ;) - less bugs than the Early Access version. Some concrete examples are the ability to invite your friends in multiplayer, salvaging, improved player progression, and animal companions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the Early Access version is pre-alpha. As mentioned above, we're still implementing some cool features for you guys and even better - you can help decide which features are introduced first through community polls.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, for sure. We're more than happy to reward you if you're willing to accept our bugs! You'll save some money, as the full game at launch will be a little more expensive. Details to follow soon.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“You'll have a vote on our upcoming feature development through community polls and by participating in our lively, resourceful forums.
