Not one of the better games in my opinion. For example, finding the differences between two similar scenes involves finding miniscule differences...like a little tiny squiggle on a rock... I find that ridiculous. the pictures are very dark and very hard to distinguish items. when asked to find an object, it might be so small, you just can't see it, or so dark, you just can't see it. I found it very frustrating and I love challenges but not this game.
Good puzzles have some easy parts, some hard parts, and some parts that mess with your head. This game has some very good puzzles.
The storyline is broken up into six "chapters", very loosely based on Robinson Crusoe. Each chapter is made up of several puzzles, and is given an hour to complete (and some of them actually need it). There are the usual object search puzzles, but also some really cool music-based and memory/logic/recognition tasks.
I appreciated some of the subtler parts of the interface (you can click to advance quickly through the story text, instead of having to listen to the whole spiel, for example). There were very few things that were annoying (well, the game designers used an image of a cranbrry picker for a dustpan - but I guess there aren't many cranberry bogs in Moldova. The native village was also oddly European-looking).
As you complete the tasks and chapters you build a boat, which is cool.
There is no continuous play mode, only the story mode, though you can go through the game again and it will generate slightly different puzzles. But the game is worth the money for an afternoon's entertainment. The end screen promises a sequel, and I'll be looking for it.
